The Attic Series from West Tampa Tobacco Co. offers a window into Rick Rodriguez’s past. This ongoing limited-edition project digs into blends he’s kept “locked away” for decades, each one telling part of the story behind his 30-year journey through the cigar world. The debut release, simply titled Attic, sets the tone: personal, bold, and built on experience.
Rolled at the Garmendia Cigars factory in Estelí, Attic is a 6″ x 54 toro extra dressed in a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder from Condega and fillers from both Condega and Estelí. It’s medium-to-full in strength but full in flavor, offering a dense profile of earth, dark chocolate, pepper, and sweet wood. The construction is solid, the draw deliberate—just as you’d expect from a blend Rodriguez has had stashed for years.
